Just arrived today. The pics tell you where I got, I'm sure...

Emperor II Elite, 34", buckeye burl, birdseye maple finger board...

Plays like a dream.

Very happy with this addition.

WOW! So many terrific new basses here.

The vast majority seem the have at least five strings. I'm almost feeling like a misfit with my fourstring.

Is it a standard 19mm bridge?

and 60s dual placement?

It appears to be 17.5mm, but I could be wrong. The neck and spacing look narrower.

I will be posting the details about the bass either tomorrow or Monday (I have a huge charity event that my wife and I are hosting tomorrow evening, so I am a bit behind).

17.5 mm spacing, Alder Tone Block, chambered and absolutely flat out KILLER sounding...this is one heck of a bass!!

Not to go off topic, but in case the day job wasn''t enough...what good is our world without helping to develop the next generation of players?

Thanks so much. I have actually been on the Board for 3.5 years...we've grown quite a bit in that time. The work that Melissa Walker (Christian McBride's wife) and our team do with children is just amazing.

Everyone on this board knows how vital the arts, and music specifically, is to having a healthy society...but there are a lot of headwinds for arts organizations like Jazz House Kids right now and being able to watch music and interacting with people like Christian, Esperanza, Melissa, Chris Boti, Pat Metheny, etc. literally completely change what a young person thinks is really possible is a far greater gift than I could ever give back to the organization...

I'm thinking you are gonna be a huge asset.

The bass looks even better than I had imagine! What Jason is telling makes me very happy Can't wait to have it in my hands.

I ordered the bass through Dave from ultimatebasses.ca. He also a member of TB. Dave have been very helpful and have returning all my mails with good answers.
