?! I just said it was interesting.

If you were following his thread about his signature bass, you'd think it was interesting too.

IIRC he got his Fodera before the Smith signature model: having his original Burner (the one in the old thread about not playing rests) then got an upper Smith from Hajime, then the Fodera, then the Smith Burner sig.

Nah Man, it's cool. Other than getting REALLY tired of hearing myself talk, it's a pretty straightforward representation of who we are. Thanks to Donovan for taking it...I had NO IDEA they were shooting that much...glad I didn't say anything too moronic! I hope you all enjoyed it. Tomorrow should be fun in the steam bath...it's gonna be 90 degrees here in NY...yes Donovan, we wish we had A/C too!!

J

it's cool. gives some nice information. but jason, we ARE taking notes on the things you say ;-0

This video of Jason and Fodera is quite insightfilul and interesting, it helps me to understand and appreciate how hard working and methodic the folks there are. I'm all the more eager as my production date approaches 6/22/12 (my wife's birthday actually!) :)

I for one, love to hear you talk my friend. You can always hear your love and admiration of all things Fodera in your voice. Cheers

Hey Jason, what's the story on the fretless with the huge pickgaurd that's hanging up high on the wall in the Fodera shop? I've seen it a few times in pictures and again in this latest video. Fodera experiment of some kind? The unfinished 6-string next to it looks cool too. If they're just taking up wall space, I'd be happy to take them off your hands...:ninja:

If memory serves , the fretless bass on the far left was made for Percy Jones and the others are various versions of the Anthony Jackson Contrabass guitar.

Not for sale. I'm not the only one who has asked!

i used to own the bass that is the second from the right. wouldn't mind having it again some day . . . (it's what i call the "tulip" shape, which i know makes no sense)

I gave you your chance. Had it built back in 1984/5. I was there when Vinny hand cut the inlays on the 12th fret.

I never got paid for it so I think was more of a consignment out to you...

talk to jason it's now in his capable hands. traded back towards my new Fodera...

now what Vinny did here is just NICE

I remember seeing this piece of Chestnut on the old F-Clef page ... and I remember thinking "hmmm...I would not like the "black holes" on the edges..."

and now what happened here :) - Vinny seemed to have filled and overlayed the holes with beautiful grain ...

Looks incredible !!!! :)

I keep having dreams of being at the Fodera shop and talking to them about a bass......not even sure why. I guess my obsession when I was younger with Fodera basses hasn't dissapated completely from my subconscious. Stay out of my head Fodera! I can't afford you right now!!!!
