I was thinking about the one with the RW board. Isn't that also the one which he had with him in the shop (which you can see in the "Around the shop" section?)

I think he also has a plain Ash Emperor w/o a top. It is also a 36".

That was the first Fodera I ever played - back in early 1999. I played it for 30 minutes and placed my own order the minute I put it down. I remember thinking that I had never experienced anything like it before -- particularly the B string.

gents and ladies-
shameless plug, i completely realize, and likely the wrong spot in the forum overall... but i wanted to spread a quick word especially to our Fodera extended community and family, as we are a tight-knit group.

my 18 (now 20, for this gig)-piece orchestra, Illuminati, makes its first appearance in a decade, this saturday at Brooklyn Bowl, williamsburg brooklyn. i founded the group in '82, and have been driving it with Grail (my custom '92 AJ 6-string, luv o' my life surely) since '92.
Grail and i will do our level best to helm this sonic onstage Beast through fairly dazzling orchestrations od Grateful Dead material and my own originals.
if you have no holiday parties that night and are in the area, please fall by!!! you'll dig it.

Anyone in the are really needs to check this out!!! Joe, I'm sorry that I can't be there....3 day writing session in Boston. Have a blast and don't wait so long to do it again....I really need to see this for myself!

How often do you guys change strings?

Also does it matter if i take all the strings off at once?..

Ive had my fodera about a week play about 3-4 hours a day minimum and looks like my fodera DIAMOND strings already old.. lol

Is there anything special about the Fodera strings.. They seem like any other good quality bass string to me


Its kinda bad now playing a fodera is just normal so it doesn't feel special its like I'm used to it lol
