Repost due to the new thread...

Folks, for those of you that are interested in hearing what Christian's new bass sounds like, Christian McBride will be hosting Soundcheck on WNYC today at 2:00 pm EDT. If you are in the NY Metro area you can hear it on 89.3 FM or 820 AM. One of his guests will be Oteil Burbridge. They plan on playing a duet live. You can check out more here:

I just realized that we turned 29 years old today!!!!

Happy Birthday Fodera!

J

Happy 29th Anniversary to Vinny, Joey, Jason and the rest of the gang!

What a tremendous combination of artistry, musician's experience, business acumen, customer service and operational excellence.

I've been a fan since 1989 and a customer since 1997. You guys just keep getting better.

Long live Fodera!

Is anyone know what is the best way to bring my Fodera to Singapore? I'm currently in the US, but I'll be back to Singapore soon, and I'll be flying with Singapore Airlines.

This is international flight and I already confirm with the airline that I have to check the bass. Do you think the Fodera Hardshell Case would be good enough to protect the bass? Assuming that I packed the bass with bubble wrap really really well and put fragile stickers everywhere. Or do you guys have any recommendation for a decent / cheap flight case but better than hardshell case? If I fly regularly, I'll get a custom flight case that is around $800 - $1000, but the problem is I won't be flying often.

I know shipping to Singapore using Fedex would be the best, but it's not cheap either. The shipping cost alone is about $ 400 - $500 without the insurance. Also I already made a mistake by shipping the bass from Fodera to my address in US in the first place, and it already cost me about $200. So, the bottom line is I'll keep my option open, since I'll be flying too. If shipping is the best solution, I'll ship the bass using Fedex. I would like to say thank you upfront for anyone who can help me, and I really appreciate it.

Last but not least, Happy Birthday to Fodera!!

I have a question.. When adjusting the inotation on my fodera.. that would be dealing with the screw in the bridge where the strings enter correct; the thing with the spring?

It seems my E's are all inconsistent tune

Happy birthday, Fodera! Anyone that shares a birthday with Albert Einstein must be doing something right. :smug:

I just put a deposit in last week for my first Fodera. Waiting to hear back on the estimated delivery date, but it's going to be a lucky '13 for me!
