Don't do the wines as much as the Scotch and Beers. Glenfarclas 30 yr old and Glendronach 15 or 18 yr old are my favorites now.

I believe I will crack open the Glenfarclas 40 yr old tomorrow to celebrate my new bass!

That would be me. That was my bass and Fodera was gracious to take me to NAMM in 2007 and delivered it to me there. I miss that bass dearly, but $9k is almost double what I paid for it and I can't justify that anymore.

Hey, pm me with the exact quote, I'd love to hear exactly what was said..

I can appreciate how those who don't quite understand the groundbreaking nature of this New Concept Contrabass might misconstrue his words of elation and excitement at finally seeing and hearing the finished product.

I'm sure anyone who's met Vinnie can't help but be struck by his sheer down to earth honesty and modest demeanour and on each occasion I've been to the shop, I always smile when I realize how infectious his passion and persona is amongst his team. If Vincent Fodera wants to blow his trumpet on this one he's earned it, because this build really encapsulates what Fodera Basses are all about. Anthony Jackson and Fodera's build concept's remain at the pinnacle of Bass Luthiery and now Wrp and the Fodera Team have set the bar another level and some.

As a Fodera owner I'm proud to be associated with a team that has indeed made and continues to make Bass Guitar history. I'll raise a glass to you guys today.

I have an office day in New Jersey today and I just got the call from Vinny about the 6-string hollow body prototype. We JUST finished it and at 2:00pm EST it made its first ever musical notes. Over four years in development and Vinny finally got to sit down and hear it. His voice was literally shaking with excitement. I will not directly quote what Vinny said because he is a very modest man and his words might be misconstrued, but let's just say that I am brimming with excitement at the prospect of getting to hear it for myself tomorrow morning!

Yep! Today is the day! I just have to cram all the things I need to do today in the next three hours, because I know I'm going to be useless when it arrives. I have already been thinking about bringing it to work with me tomorrow.
