Congratulations on the new addition. If that is the one I'm thinking that was up in the newborn section, that thing is gorgeous. The gateway syndrome is more contagious the closer you get to Brooklyn.
Yes, it was put up in the newborn section yesterday. And, yes, I'm about two hours from Brooklyn. Very convenient but a wee bit scary.
Cool. My wife is coming with me to pick up my Monarch 5 Deluxe in Jan. She is too smart for me to bother lying to about the cost of a Fodera.
She thinks I am a little nutty for paying so much for basses, but cars, Harleys, and other hobbies can be worse.In any case, my Monarch has an almost identical top to Mark's but ebony board and mahogany body. Can't wait to get it!

i just played todd's fretless standard and i'd like to know if you/vinny/joey attribute any difference in the sound of the attack to the red oak neck.
also, is there an upcharge for red oak or is it the same as maple?

I'm contemplating a 5 or 6 string build mid next year with custom pup spacing and supplying narrow bar pups for the Fodera guys. Got 5 months to figure it out...fun...
Jason, I have a question for you that you may or may not be able to answer depending if it's a secret or not...
Is there anyway to get the fully-chambered treatment with a Monarch / Imperial / etc without going the full-blown Presentation II route? I know the prototype for the hybrid was an MG Imperial so it's not impossible, just wondering if there was any plans in the works.
