So true I call the owner Hans Pilfer! What an insult.
At least the neck is different (and kinda cool), but the YY ripoff is just mind boggling from such a big manufacturer.
Warwick has always been the bass brand that I absolutely despised playing from both ergonomic and tonal perspectives, but this makes their ripoff of Spector's body style look almost justifiable. Just sad.
I was thinking the same thing. The inlays don't do it for me.I really don't like the inlays.

... but adds just that tiny bit of tone that makes it sound like a Fodera ...It is a veneer made of wood -- Anigre that has been dyed black, to be specific. It is mainly aesthetic...
Hi all,
are anybody traveling with their Foderas with a plane and how? Until now I managed to get my bass safely on the plane in a normal gig bag - but it is always a nerve-wracking issue because you never know for sure if its possible. It happened once that I had to give my bass to be stored "somewhere" ... horror. Fortunately everything went fine.
So hard cases for an VI-string Imperial are very rare... I found the following possibilities:
ATA Roto Electric Bass Case w/TSA lock | SKB Music / ProAV
This one is unfortunately about 5mm to small in the width:

This is quite bulky - maybe suitable for two basses:

I´m not sure if a Imperial would fit in here ... I guess not:
iSeries Waterproof ATA Open Cavity Bass Case | SKB Music / ProAV
Do you have different approaches? Unfortunately when going the hardcase route you have to pay for extra luggage and for an insurance because normale baggage is not insured for a few thousand dollars right away in case of lost or demolition.
Best regards - Christoph

We definitely have a newly-built original AJ-shaped bass in-house at the moment, but that was not it behind Vic. That was a bass that was in for repairs.
Vic is playing one of my Monarchs. He was in the shop working with us on some modifications to the Bow Bass along with demoing a couple of my Monarchs to hear the difference between EMG's and Duncans. It looks like we will be building him a new Yin Yang later this year with Duncans in it...
Funny, but I know the bass he is playing in the picture really well (I play it often!), but I have never heard it make the sounds that came out of it yesterday! LOL!
As for the teaser pic, your guess is as good as mine!
Cheers,
J
