In the middle of recovering from covid a year ago, I made this video about my Emperor deluxe 5.

the new album released today. Is mostly YYD and most anything that sounds like grinding electric guitar (for solos) is either Monarch 6 or YYD with dirt and sometimes a Pitchfork (guitar-proxy). I did add a Strat back into the studio last week so the next album will likely use that. The Pitchfork is cool but sonically is limited.

For Sale - Fodera Monarch 4 Custom

I tried a 33" once, and while it was fun, I don't think it would be that great for the crazy de-tunings I do for my death metal and progressive metal projects - even 34" feels a bit weird in drop A tuning!

Really funky pickups on that Custom, what's the sound difference compared to the regular Fodera/Duncan humbuckers?

Hello all, I hope I'm not putting this in the wrong forum but I put it in the basses form earlier without much response. If I am wrong someone please let me know but here goes and thank you:

Greetings brothers and sisters! I have a 2014 Fodera Monarch Deluxe 5. About a week ago I noticed when switching from passive to active, that the active circuitry didn't kick in. I figured it was just dead batteries so I continue to play the bass in passive mode. However, I after changing the batteries the situation is still the same. Does anyone have any idea of what the problem may be? I'm not sure, but I think a Fodera representative may be a member of talk bass. If anyone knows for sure, if you don't mind, please pass on his forum name so that I may be able to send him a PM thank you so much!

Your best bet is to take it to a reputable local guitar tech and let them pop the hood and look it over. It's probably just a loose wire. I'll attach a basic wiring diagram that might help a bit.

I just saw that Fodera raised the prices for 2022 once again, did anyone receive any notice? This has to be the only company that raises their prices almost every year.

In pandemic times it's more the norm.

My fretless arrives tomorrow, and this will be my first active bass. After seeing the picture Joe BassPlayer posted, I take it I should buy a couple 9v batteries?

It should come with batteries and they last quite a while. Backups wouldn't hurt, I guess.
