I'm sooooo damn curious about this 25 Anniversary basses - the Emperor II on the homepage with the bird is just nr.3 ....

The 25th Anniversary Bass is insane in person. I saw one in the spray booth at the Fodera shop back in March. The inlay work is an amazing work of art. I cannot imagine how much time that took and how much one would cost!

Hi Beskyd,
Both basses have Seymour Duncan dual coils and pope pre.
The Emperor Deluxe has the exposed poles, Imperial 'Bona' doesn't.

Congratulations! Gorgeous bass and I imagine that it sounds AMAZING. I have a Yin Yang (4 string) with Purpleheart / Pau Amarillo over walnut with an ebony board and SD dual coils. I imagine our basses sound very similar!

With the Yin Yang, do you notice any tonal difference when you're playing on the ebony as opposed to the maple? Just curious. I have a Victor Wooten Classic with dual coils (and no tulip inlays).

Being a Fretted board I don't notice a difference but really haven't payed much attention to it.
