Fodera now available from Sweetwater

You might want to check the small print on that, I'm pretty sure if you do the no interest payment plan you can't pay it off sooner than the 3 years, you have to go the long haul, they are hoping you will be late on a payment and then they will ding you for all the interest!

Not true. There is no penalty for paying off the 36/24 month no interest promos early. You can make your payments as large as you would like.

Sweetwater is only offering the standard models that Fodera is putting out in batches.

Show me where they are offering customs on the Sweetwater site, and we'll be on the same page. I don't do Facebook orders.

How does ordering a custom address the original question asking if Fodera is now mass manufacturing?

Rhetorical - it doesn't. Good on you, though. Blue star in your future.

Edit: As of 09/01/16, I cannot order a custom Fodera on Sweetwater.com. Maybe Jason can, but I'm not going to use Facebook to ask him.

That's actually not true. We can sell you customs as well and in fact, we have reservations on build slots so instead of it taking the standard 9-12 months, it will be closer to 4-5 months.

Thanks to the Fodera and SW guys for correcting obviously inaccurate assumptions.

Maybe the 36 mo. interest-free SW financing will come back some other time (good through Sept 6th right now BTW).

If so, I will legitimately consider getting a Fodera this way since saving up $5k cash is a difficult thing to do, and having that sum saved up would make me think about remodeling the house instead which, as we all know, is not something we need, unlike a very expensive boutique bass ;).

For now, I am gonna pay off the Super Bassman I just ordered on the 36 mo plan first. Sweetwater is by far the best online retailer although I do like Full Compass as well; and it would be a privilege to own a Fodera.

That's me, it would be hard to look my wife in the face and say I have $5K and bass is what I need when I know there are things needed by the house and my children.

It comes up every so often. Remember a number of times they have had the 36 month financing. I try to do large ticket items this way. They normally offer 24 month financing which is also a good deal. Only thing is it is not all brands that are available for this. Seems the major brands are, but smaller ones are not eligible. Think the other ones are 6 months.

I didn't know if they'd have it updated yet, but the SW website shows that Fodera IS eligible for the 36 mo interest free financing. Someday for me, perhaps; that's a pretty sweet arrangement. Gotta pay off the Super Bassman, which I have not yet received or made a payment on since I just ordered it.

Anyone looking to acquire a Fodera, this very moment is a great opportunity at SW.

The truth is that the 24 and 36 month promos are more expensive for us to run than the typical 6 month deal. The credit card fees are doubled and the brands that cover half of the fees are on the extended month promos. So if you see a brand that's not on the 24/36 month deal, it's because they have chosen not to pony up for those fees.
