Hmmm... I've honestly usually liked the few MB videos I've watched, but this one was pretty weird to me. I'm not sure what all of the playing with very heavy overdrive was for. It certainly didn't sell this bass to me.

I do really like the MB Presentation he did he did from about a year ago that heavily influenced a custom instrument I'm having built.

Yea this seems like a really weird video all together. Odd TikTok style format for a brand like Fodera. It seems like they’re trying to reach a new younger metal centric audience with this bass for sure. I still thought this pairing for a signature was an odd from a sales stand point both due to the price tag and the fact that Mudvayne hasn’t put out an album since 09 and that style of metal isn’t really in vogue anymore. On paper, they don’t seem like they’d fly off the shelf.

That being said.. being one of the few people that currently owns the blondie standard version, I don’t think this video does the bass justice at all. Not one of their better demos.

People like to show off more than show what the instrument can do or just sounds like unaltered. Sad, but true...the GC/YT mentality is strong.

My favorite GC player story is there was a guy playing every Metallica album from beginning to end in the guitar section. The sales guy at the counter said he had been playing since 1:00, which was about 3 hours at that point, and the staff wanted to see if he could go all the way.

Unfortunately, it makes it difficult to know what an amp actually sounds like. I have no way to try most of them locally. So, I have to rely on videos and opinions of TB members and others. Probably why I've gone through so many amps in the last few years.
