Wow, you just made typing out lol seem insufficient. Also, help, I can't breathe! Is it just me or did Meagan Fox get robbed out of a Best Supporting Actress nod for her work in the film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I think she is one of this generations best actors and I'll fight any man who says different.
- Fodera's logo is much cooler than Carvin's 1980's boxy WordPerfect "name logo."
Oooooo.... now yur gettin mean. There are a few important points that have not been made in this thread:
- The word "Fodera" sounds much cooler than "Carvin."
- Fodera does not use pointy headstocks...ever. Even the SB headstock is somewhat pointy and deranged.
- Fodera's logo is much cooler than Carvin's 1980's boxy WordPerfect "name logo."
- Lakland USA rules and is worth every penny, including the Fender J and P copies.
- Oh yea, I own an SB4000 and a PB4 fretless.
- Did I mention the Carvin headstocks?
- "Fodera" starts with "F" and so does "Fender" -- coincidence? I don't think so. "Carvin" starts with "C" and so does...well, um..."Charvel" -- coincidence? Impossible.
What happens if you put a Fodera neck on a Carvin body? Do you get a Carrera?
I don't know how many this bass vs that bass threads I've seen. I get sucked in hoping that interesting features of the models will be discussed in an intelligent manner, and it always seems to degrade to primitive chest thumping and prideful nonsense.
Just curious, does a $10k Fodera MG play and sound that much better than my Carvin SB5001? I know Im gonna get lit up on this one... its just I don't see it. My SB was $1700, $8k more... Really? Was at GC the other day and they have a Pedulla used with a $2k tag on it and its got absolutely nothing at all on the SB, way less comfortable actually. Have played a couple of Mike Lulls in there and again... I wont keep saying it. Carvin man.
Whenever I see these stupid, I mean silly threads, I wonder why someone would buy a bass that they feel so bad about that they need to start trash talking other basses to make themselves feel adequate? I have a couple of SXs, a couple of customs and some inbetweens. I don't apologize for anything I play and I don't feel the need to compare them to your $50 garage special or your $10,000 Fedora.
Just enjoy what you play. When you take pot-shots at Fedora you just look small, petty and jealous.
