Food, Glorious Food...

This popped up in my facebook feed today, and I've been interested to see how my family and friends responded.
Thought I'd post it here to, and see how you fine folks do...
There's 66 items listed, and I've decided to offer a prize to the highest and lowest scorers by midnight, New Year's eve.
A 100e donation to the charity of your choice, I think.

Basically, how many of these do you NOT eat if at all possible?

Bonus points may be rewarded (or removed) for any especially interesting thoughts on the subject.

(For those with difficulties in deciding, say, if the evil that is TNC is included in 'canned' tuna' (YES!), post your issue below, and I will make an arbitrary decision for you.)

* I am aware 'lettuse' is spelt wrong. Anyone pointing that out in an misguided attempt to prove your educational superiority earns themselves a virtual slappin'.

There's really no part of an animal that I wouldn't eat. I've been to Egyptian restaurants that served everything. Yes, even that. It's sliced thin and nicely seasoned but a bit chewy. There's one food I won't eat and that's water chestnuts. Can't stand them. But it's not on the list.

I don't eat 11 of those things. Am allergic to three of items, grossed out by one more, and avoid the rest for digestion reasons.

Because of the last reason, generally not eating mammal flesh (bacon bits on my morning omelette being the exception) and bread/pasta in any quantity at a meal often gets me considered a picky eater.

1) I would be happy to eat everything on the list.
2) I haven't eaten snails, not because I am averse (I'll try anything) but it just hasn't come up.
3) Although I enjoy sushi and raw oysters, I don't eat them anymore because of having gotten sick in the past (exception: I will eat sushi if I am in Japan). Anyway, the list doesn't say "raw oysters" it says "oysters" and I absolutely would enjoy some cooked oysters or oyster stew right now.
4) Did you know that "lettuce" is spelled wrong [Duck!]

Reactions: Oddly
I've eaten all of the items on the list with the exception of snails - just never had the chance.
Given my current 'lifestyle choice' (I'll leave that up to you lot to decipher!) there are 23 items listed that I no longer eat.

Paleo (no bread or agricultural products)?

Conversion to Judaism? no, it looks like that covers only seven items.

???

I wouldn't hesitate with any of that stuff.. Zero for me. Unless there's a pesticide problem. Simple solution - go certified organic when you can - high numbers (check the linked list ) when you can't :)

Here's one list to help drive home the point: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed].
Watch the #1 strawbs especially - they're virtual sponges, I'm afraid. Organic - no probs.
