Food you hate

I dislile most Southern Italian cuisine which is odd since that's half of my ethnic background. This is especially true for old school Italian restaurants. Give me a gastropub with great beer any day over a spaghetti and meatballs type restuarant with cheap red wine and the white and red checked table cloths.

Fish.
All of them.
I spent a couple of months working on my uncle's trawler years back and it wasn't fun.

I reserve a special dislike for shellfish. I have to pity the poor soul who was the first person to pick up an oyster and was SO damned hungry he thought it might taste ok...

Also, I'm not a big fan of most vegetables.

I'm a vegetarian, so there's a whooooole lot of food I never liked and was happy to never have to eat again once I grew up and didn't have to listen to my mom and dad. Always skived (that's a real word, right?) clams (raw and cooked), steak (especially rare), any kind of organ meat... pretty much anything that looked, felt, smelled or tasted like meat. Only meat products I ever enjoyed at all were of course bacon, and chicken cutlets. Once in a while I'd enjoy a tuna sandwich, but that's pretty much it.

Can't think of any vegetarian foods that I don't like. I'll pretty much eat anything these days that never had a face. Not too fond of the idea of biting into an onion though. And ghost peppers are out.

Anything you can get at TacoBell.

I once tried a Persimmon and that was a weird experience. It goes from being the most delicious fruit you ever ate to the most horrible sour thing ever in about 5 seconds when you eat one.

At least that was my experience. I'm assuming they're like that for everybody.

If they aren't then something's up with my taste buds or saliva.

So don't know if I love those or hate 'em.

Mint. Especially mint with chocolate. Mint ruins perfectly good chocolate....
Sorry, but you're wrong about that. You just haven't even the right combination (writing this as I chomp on a fabulously delicious Mitchell's Chocolates dark chocolate mint marshmallow drool).

...Mint is awesome...
This guy knows good food!

Anything green.
Anything that flies.
Anything that swims.
Doesn't leave much left, does it? :smug:

You know that weird nice little dog in the TB commercials? ;)

I'll eat almost anything that doesn't eat me first. When the end comes, cockroaches will survive. And I will also, because I'll eat anything. Except tripe. No tripe has ever been edible. It will never be edible. I don't think the cockroaches who will share the post-apocalyptic world with me would eat tripe.

My son will happily eat tripe. He will outlive the cockroaches and me.
