Football bass

I always play (headset) during a patriots playoff game. The key to winning is picking the right bass with the most luck on any given sunday. To my fellow new england bassist pick up your bass and send the pats mojo! For the record, i will be playing my newly acquired mij mustang, this is the mustangs first playoff game, so im expecting big results!
Hey what Eva works !! (I guess)
Go pats!!

Pats season ticket holder since 2000.

Fan for much much longer.

Disagree with previous post about most Boston people not caring about the Pats. I do believe that they are the most followed team in "New England" including Boston. The difference is that you have to drive 45 min to go to a game v just go to a stadium downtown.

I am hoping to get tickets to go to Houston.

I need something to be preoccupied about when I am not talking about my basses!

So you're suggesting that, for the Super Bowl, the Falcons paint their helmets FLAT black and put TORT logos on them? I smell what you're cooking!

Atlanta born, Atlanta raised, Atlanta fan (when I wasn't rooting for Peyton Manning to win a couple before he retired).;)

I was happy for Peyton winning last year and going out like a champ. I think pats fans should be concerned about playing the Falcons. We are rolling over good teams by large margins. Keeping up with us is the name of the game. I was at the game the last time pats/falcons faced off and I can agree that patriot fan base is much more unlikable than most other teams.

My mistake was NOT playing this at church Sunday like I did last weekend! ( And they won)

Congrats Pat's fans!

It is definitely going to be a great game. Atlanta is playing amazing right now. Obviously im going with the Pats all the way, but its sure gonna be a stressful game to watch!:woot::smug:

Even though "soccer" is an English nickname for Association Football, and American Football is a variation of Rugby Football, I have to agree with the meme below. :)

Apart from that, I live in NYC and all NYC teams are hated all around the US, so what do I know?

We call it soccer because that's what the English called it. Then, depending on which story you believe, they either got annoyed that we were calling it soccer, or they thought the word had too much of an upper-class connotation. So they started calling it football and now we get made fun of for using the original nickname for the game. Meanwhile, we gave the name football to a different sport and as it's now worth billions we're obviously not about to go switching it all around.

I agree 100%. It's just pure fun.

Fanciful timeline, and...huh? Never heard of 'Muricans being made fun of because they use the word soccer*: only because they use "football" for a sport where the contact of ball and shoe is only sporadic! ;) But really, all of them are and have always been, since the mid '800s, "football": Association football (> 'soccer), Rugby football (since 1895 found in two flavours), American football, and let's not forget Australian rules and Gaelic football. All but soccer played mostly with the hands (I'm not sure how much currency the theory has that places the origin of the word in the fact that the sports designated with it are played on foot, as opposed to horseback, but it's intriguing nonetheless). Australia is unique in having four varieties with equal or comparable amounts of popularity (Rugby league, Rugby union, Australian and Association) so if you play football there you pretty much have to specify which one. Elsewhere it'll be understood as being the most popular locally, unless you add, as you should, a qualification if it isn't the one.

*Now, if we rest of the world have anything to make fun of is something all you Anglophones alike are guilty of saying:

(It even looks a bit like the ball for every style of non-foot football...)
