I started in '63 at 13. Played semipro and then as a full-time pro from 18 until 28 and only 4-5 days a week for another 6-7 years. Never stopped playing.
I'm 51 and just started playing and was curious when you other 50+ guys began playing and why, at 50+ are you still playing. I've not gotten any negative comments on beginning at 50+, though a few "why"s have come out.
I always wanted to play. Started guitar at 12 but never followed through with it and just love music in general, playing it would be fantastic. No dreams of a geriatric band or anything, just the love of the sound.
So why are you/did you start playing?
