Yes, it's smaller.

I don't own one but yes, the body is smaller and offset a bit more as well. I do own a Joe Osborne 5 and I don't think the body is that big.

The DJ body is smaller and the upper horn extends out a little bit further than on the JO. I like the way it balances and feels as a result which is why I got the DJ5.

Yep! I got rid of the 55-02 and got me the JO5! Much better fit for me! And it plays like butta! Oh, and "no more batteries"!! Yay! I'm considering getting a DJ5 next year and then I'm done with bass buying! Getting too old for this G.A.S. thing!

The bass is well made & lightweight (9lbs or less). Check out the figuring on the headstock! Beautiful!

I recently listened to a recording I made with mine. I think it's possibly the best bass tone I've ever heard (not the best playing by any measure).

The neck was crafted by God to fit my hand perfectly.

I've never gone on like this about anything I've ever bought, but the DJ is just sooo impressive in every way.
