for those with a lakland Darryl jones ?

What is the difference between a DJ and an JO anyway? I didn't have the opportunity to try a JO when I bought my DJ4
Body shape and neck aesthetics. The DJ has binding and block markers, I believe. The JO has a traditional looking neck. I think the DJ had Aeros pups and the JO has Fralins. At least the older models did. Not sure if both are using the new Lakland pups now. I'm not a Lakland expert by far but I plan to be. I love my JO5 and plan to get more from the Skyline series.

I think the JO is the same but I don't think it's that big.

DW,
That JO5 is sweet, dude! Glad it's fitting you man. Great looking bass and just love the feel and the tone. Hopefully I can put mine back to tpassive one day.

here is a (bad) picture of a DJ and a JO (along with my 55-02) for your comparison.

there IS a difference in the body size as well as the pickup spacing.....at it's widest point, the DJ is about an inch smaller.

also - the pickups on the DJ are about 1/2 inch further away from the neck pocket.

hope this helps!
