I know how to use it!
First: I'll go for the strings BEAD and maybe C.

I'd buy that thing just to find somebody that does instrument setups for a fixed rate.

I think the bass guitar with more than 6 strings should be given a different name. And this poopie - i would probably burn it down.

I cannot watch Jared Dines smashing up an instrument for no good reason, too painful. Even worse, primarily done as a stunt for Youtube and because it makes him look 'rock'n'roll'. What an immature image-obsessed idiot.
However low quality the 17 string may have been, however unpleasant his experience, someone somewhere could have made some kind of use of that. Smashing up instruments is a very nasty thing to do unless the instrument is completely ruined already.
