Can't say that look does very much for me. I'd sooner wear my Doctor Who (full-body) onesie around people and go for all out goofiness.
The talk about the double standard of it being okay for women to dress masculine but not the reverse reminds me of that dialogue sample from The Cement Garden used in Madonna's "What It Feels Like for a Girl." "Girls can wear jeans and cut their hair short, wear shirts and boots. 'Cause it's okay to be a boy. But for a boy to look like a girl is degrading. Because you think that being a girl is degrading..."

I didn't see that done by everyone here at all. I think you are reading too into it.
Going straight into a gender argument misses the point anyway, which is why I made my post.

Are you ignoring me or not? You have made several derogatory posts about me while simultaneously blocking my content. That is childish behaviour, to say the least. Additionally, if you would like to actually have a discussion about sexism I would be glad to have it. I know that many here, yourself included, like to perpetuate patriarchy and misogyny but I for one am not a big fan of discrimination.
Everyone is different. For me , this is a fashion fubar. Some enterprising person wanted to sell these shorts , created a market and made it work. I think they make you look silly, but it's not the end of the world. They definately do not make you look good.

Who are you talking to? Out here we have cacti; it often makes wearing shorts a stupid thing to do.
Last time I checked there was nothing misogynist, misandrist, sexist, racist, ageist (a favorite here) or any other "ist" to use as an ad hominem attack against someone who thinks something is stupid.
Example - I think slotting people into classes based on a couple of sentences is stupid.

Nobody would utter a peep if a woman (feminine) wore this (feminine) outfit. Nobody. We're saying it maybe isn't the best thing for a man to wear.
I disagree. It's rooted in what we (sometimes mistakenly) think women want to see us in, what we think will attract women to us. Men jump thru all sorts of hoops trying to figure out what it is women want from us. The ridicule of this onesie is due to the thought (again, possibly mistaken) that it doesn't serve the intended purpose.
Quiet as it's kept, men don't decide what a real man is. Women make that decision when they decide which of us to sleep with. Not marry, not befriend, but sleep with.
Classic pointless thread gone awry. One of the horrors (or joys depending upon your point of view) of the internet. Wear a clown outfit if it suits you. No one really cares. With that said, IMO if you want to look like a "pro", shorts or a clown outfit is not the way to go.
This picture makes me want to get violent.Once Idiocracy become reality, I presume all genders will be wearing onesies:
I am a fairly conservative dresser. Suit and tie for work. Jeans and western boots or chinos on weekends. If it is hot and I need to carry stuff, I even have shorts with several pockets. It is what I am comfortable wearing. If I am doing something that requires specific clothes, I wear them. I am not one that gets wearing some things but my rules apply to me. If someone wants to wear something I would abhor, that is fine for them, so long as they are appropriate for the occassion. If someone wore a "romper" to a formal business meeting, I would certainly question their judgement but I have enough to deal with taking care of myself.
That being said, history is replete with fashion curiosities (fapps, dandys, etc). Lets all shake hands, enjoy a laugh and remember to have a good time. Neither hating or loving a fashion look is wrong. It is the great thing about life. We can all have different opinions laugh about them and still be friends.
Now I am going back to watching Shaun of the Dead and envy the zombies for their mobility since I am 3 days since having my ankle rebuilt. You want funny, just watch me try to navigate on crutches!

Depends on what sort of "pro" the person looking at you is thinking of, IMO. Half of Pearl Jam wore shorts. Trujillo wears shorts w/Metallica, doesn't he?
I guess some guys are into looking like mom just took them out of the highchair.
