I looked up the tab for what Tony was doing, and I got these internet messages:

That last bit with all the raking... Damn. I play guitar without a pick too but, um, not like that, that was just beyond cool man. Beautiful virtuosity right there. Inspirational.
If there's one guitar that is always right at home in the bass realm (as far as I'm concerned), it's a Tele with a little reverb. Even when you're not playing it funky, it's got that feel.

That was my thought too. Nile Rodgers probably does not spend enough time in LA, hanging out at his store.

Speaking of no pick, I've been watching Toy and Tommy Caldwell (Marshall Tucker) play the guitar and bass, respectively. I believe the story was their dad played with his thumb, so they followed suit. Awesome. RIP to them both.
