Howdy bass brothers,
I have been lurking around TB for a few weeks and finally decided to jump in.
Been playing since 1981 and just came out of a 10 year hiatus of not playing at all, which is subsequently my only regret so far in life.
So my only advice is to never stop playing. Even if you tire of dealing with being in a band, don't ever stop playing even if it is just in your room by yourself with headphones playing along with your favorite records.
I say this because I have seen other posts by folks who have taken extended time away from playing and are now back. I feel 10 years behind in the journey and struggle to not beat myself up about it.
Anyway, be kind to each other even if you disagree. We are all on our own journey and each is just as valid as the next.
