Good point, I agree. IMO this overregulating (and the new habit cockpit infringement reporting) is a bit out of hand. Going wide on a corner is not quite the same as cutting across the inside. In any case they still have that "leaving the track and gaining and advantage" rule to fall back on.

Trying to force the race track to add gravel traps on the outside of fast corners would just be pompeous entitlement, completely disrepectful of MotoGP safety, and I hope they rethink that.

Lewis Hamilton says maybe everyone should just slow down a bit......OK lewis, you go first. Some hunyuck writer for racer magazine suggests tracks need to accomidate the FIA, well then maybe the FIA should step up and buy circuits like Austria so they can have it just the way they want it for F1. Race tracks are a business, you cant make your business profitable with only one race and catering to thier every whim, these guys are so out of touch.

Heres an idea, screw track limits ! as long as your not cutting inside a corner clearly trying to gain an advantage leave them be so they can race, FIA is like a helicopter mom, 2026 will bring automated aero, christ, just get a robot in the car if thats where your going. Ya know, just because you can doesnt mean you should

Ah, the mid-season rumors continue to swirl...

- Lando to Ferrari
- Sainz to Audi (Sauber)
- Leclerc to Mercedes

Toto was spotted in a Monaco cafe last week with Nyck de Vries, which shouldn't be a big surprise given the Dutchman's history with the German marque. I can see him signing on to be in the Mercedes family, possibly with Williams.

Red Bull recently contacted Albon to discuss a return to Red Bull... but Albon declined. If that's how it went down, I'm happy. Btw, Albon is also rumored to move to Ferrari in the future.

I still say Lewis is aching to add a F1 Ferrari drive to his résumé. Just throwing that out there :cool:

Fantastic to see McLaren and Williams improving as of late. I'm anxious to see how the next couple of races unfold for them, especially Spa where the cars can stretch their legs.

The Ricciardo-to-AlphaTauri move is interesting but not a total surprise. Will he be able to push what is probably the worst car on the grid toward the front? Or (like at McLaren) will he struggle with a car he's not comfortable with? Regardless, it will be exciting to watch.

We had the Indy race Toronto yesterday....Quite the buzz.
I feel like a heel for not making it down there.
Quite an action packed weekend....I really should try and follow more

Grosjean was here , as was Erikson....So some Formula 1 connection and I would love to have cheered on Romian Grosjean .

He crashed all on his own yet again. I am a fan, but it looks more and more like we'll be cheering him on in the Lambo WEC seat next year rather than IndyCar. I just may have to go catch the Portland IC race this year, I think it's been nearly twenty years since the last time I went. It was still Champ Car back then, and until the last few races I caught, not a one design chassis series.

I dont know what the attraction is for street racing, they are bumpy as all get out and narrow too. Toronto has CTMP just down the road from there, why arent they using a proper racing circuit thats literally in there back yard. The only half decent street circuit is the one in Tampa and half of its on an airport runway. That Detroit circuit was atrotious as well as the Nashville one, so they go over a bridge .... a novel idea till someone ends up in the water.

This would be a smoother track and why can't we have the Grand Prix here too?
Canadian Tire Motosport Park....Still I hope Toronto gets motivated to fix its' roads for that reason, as it is NOT world class to have such bad roads downtown.

That’s what they pay her for, brilliant insights from years of racing experience. No way Simon or Natalie can bring something that thought provoking to the broadcast. Awesome.
