Forum Portal Options???

So I was using forum fiend to access talkbass on my phone. I got a new one yesterday and it wiped out my forum library. I tried to re-add talkbass and I get a "tapatalk api not found" or similar.
Any idea how to re-access it or add it to a forum viewer?

I just found a post from 2014 where talkbass isn't listed with tapatalk anymore... but I was using it thru forum fiend up till yesterday.. weird.
Soooooo.. is there any forum viewer I can use to access, or is it ONLY thru a browser now? I really liked having a dedicated icon to go straight to talkbass.
I know. . First world problems. Lol

I'm no mod, but I often read from them that they changed the website a bit to make it nicer for use with mobile devices and they don't plan to have any app in the future (at least for a longer time) but want the users to view with a web browser.

They might not answer you because you didn't read the older threads in this part of the forum, where they explained it. They do not want to repeat themselves just because somebody wants a personal answer that was given previously to the public.

The plug was pulled months ago, maybe close to a year ago. The app worked for some time longer than I had expected, but then it didn't any longer. But that was the new app. The old one based on tapatalk was terminated years ago. I cannot believe that it still worked for you.

So, face reality, your old way of doing things no longer exists. Use a web browser for Talkbass now.

I'm not asking about the app though. I had seen all this about the app being discontinued.
I was just using a forum reader. There are tons of forums that are laid out like talkbass that can be accessed thru these that don't have apps. Has talkbass also ended whatever links them to those?
Like I said, i found threads from four years ago that talkbass no longer used tapatalk, but i can't really believe that my forum reader worked for four years with that being the only means of connection after it was discontinued, especially since I used the last phone for only 2 of those years, which would mean I was able to add that method of access to my last phone two years after it was terminated. I'm not deeply versed in the mechanics of what drives connections behind the scenes online but that doesn't seem likely if true. With my new phone I also found that my outlook wasn't linking correctly so I'm just wondering if it's something im missing or if something changed.

I know that you didn't ask about an app but the reason the old app no longer worked was the guys running Talkbass didn't like how tapatalk works, had a lot of problems with it and therefor dropped the old app. So tapatalk away the reason to drop the old app, so it is a wonder that you could still use a forum reader using tapatalk after they changed to something else.
I think nobody can help you find some other forum reader to access Talkbass and it might not be what they want currently. But I'm sure if you find something that works, others here might be interested too.

Well.. it seems I've discovered that it may be that forum fiend itself is defunct but still operational which may be part of the issue. They were an alternative to tapatalk. I'm gonna try other forum readers and see if that works.
