I've been lurking here a long time now, and I thought I'd let in with an idea I had. At any given time, at least 50% of this main forum is filled up with either:
A: Club/Theme Threads - like manufacturer threads, post your black and maple with clay dot bass, etc.
B: FAQ's - like maple vs rosewood, active vs passive, bolton vs neck-thru, etc.
Why not take all of these huge threads and put them in a top or sidebar (maybe in smaller text)?
That way when when a new person wants to post a club pic, everyone interested can know it's there without clogging the whole forum up.
And that way, maple vs rosewood can continue being beaten to death in plain sight so newbies don't have to post so many new threads. Experienced members who want to respond/continue the discussion can do so, and those who have heard enough can ignore it.
