Hello Everyone! I just talked to G.E. and I think it really is my brother. I am so happy to know he is still alive and well. Thanks for the call G.E. and I hope that someone will give him my phone number. I would like to fly there to NY or bring him to CA to meet with our other brother and some relatives who have only heard of Butch but never met him. To those who are a little skeptical... I swear to you I am not a fraud or bill collector. I am the biological brother or Arthur Lee Porter. We are two years and eight days apart. We were separated when I was either eight or nine years old and I have not seen him since.
If any of your know Arthur "Butch" Porter please tell him that I love him and I miss him. I never had a chance to tell him those words. I would like to help him if he ever needs anything. But most importantly, I just want to see him again. To talk to him about what life was like growing up and growing old without him. But who knows? Maybe I need him more than he needs me. Anyway, I have had this one wish and this one dream for 40 years. I would give anything just to be with my older brother again. Anyone who has ever had an older brother maybe understands what I am saying.
Thanks to all of you who are donating to help him out. I want to help him too.

wow...this is unbelievable...i agree with metallicafan18 - this is an amazing way to start the year...i (and this world) could use something positive, and dammit if this isn't it!! simply moving...i'm very glad for you andre...
All I can say is: wow. What starts out as an act of kindness (major kudos to GE) to a person in need winds up as something so much more.
Andre, I hope & pray that the reunion is as legit as it seems to be right now. And that all works out as well as everyone here hopes that it will.

Andre saved me the trouble of explaining our phone call. But yeah, this is so damned amazing. Told my friends with me, and they're all pretty stunned too. I didn't do this to do anything, I just wanted to help out a cool guy who needs a bass.
