Found a nice free B3 Plugin

I was looking for a fairly authentic Hammond B3 organ VST. After a few searches it seemed the go to was a product called Blue 3 from GG Audio. I tried it and while it sounds great (using the presets). Not being an organ player, it has far more bells and whistles that I can use. The downside is that even the free trial has an annoying buzz and sound drop out every minute until you purchase a license. At $99 it's not a showstopper, but IMHO I would think you should be able to try it a bit before having to by a license.

Since I liked having the B3 tones I did a little more searching and found this product from Lostinthe70s Audio. It seems to work well and sounds pretty good, the presets and controls appear to be targeted at someone looking for a B3 sound, and not an actual B3 organist. Thought I would share...

For $99, I'd go with Kontakt Komplete Select, which will work with the free Kontakt Player. In addition to the a couple different Hammonds, you also get a Farfisa Compact, Vox Continental, Rhodes MK I, a couple pianos, a Ric bass, and a bunch of other sounds.

I think the Lostinthe70s simulation might be a bit better (CollabB3 has some weird stuff going on with their Leslie).

I also use to use AZR3 back in the day, but I think this is better.
VST plugins

Most of the time I use the Adam Monroe Organ:

It's cheap and has a really nice Leslie Sim, as well as some nice natural-sounding distortion.

The Blue3 is ok...the Leslie sim gets a little squirrelly at faster tempos and the distortion can be a madman - which isn't really good or bad I guess. Of course GSI VB3, Acousticamples, and the B3 Sim that comes with Logic are also great.

If one has a Mac and GarageBand, there’s pretty good organ and other basic keyboard sounds within.

Glad it was helpful. I also looked at the CollaB3 and the Lostinthe70s seemed to be more intuitive to me. I'm pretty new to VST's and my keyboard skills are pretty poor. It took me about 15 minutes to add a keyboard track which was a major plus for me.
