Found my sound: Fender + Tech 21

Hey everyone I want to quickly comment on my experience last night after recording a few songs.

It was my turn to record the bass for my bands next ep and I was very pleased with the sound we recorded. I decided to go with an RPM and RBI ran in parallel into the power section of a Fender 100t all into a neo 410 cab.

We used the 25 watt mode on the amp and used an akg P2 to record the driver (mic surprised everyone with how well it sounded) a condensor mic about 3 feet away and a dry DI feed. The three channels combined gave me the Rise Against, Matt Freeman, Mike Dirnt tone I was looking for. Can't wait to hear the final mix

It was all DIY using my gear with a competent sound engineer at the mixing board. Everything is still in pre as a DAW file but I can testify that that sound coming from the cab sounded like Robocop firing off his auto Berreta at crooked cops! It was awesome.
