On April 20-22, the legendary Italian bassist Francesco Petracchi will be the featured guest artist at the 5th edition of the ¡Viva el Bajo! South Texas Double Bass Festival. The event will take place in the Fine Arts Complex at the University of Texas Pan-American in Edinburg, TX.
Maestro Petracchi will teach master classes and perform a recital in collaboration with the music faculty at UTPA.
There will be instruments and accessories vendors and two luthiers on site to help with minor repairs and set-up as well as with bow re-hair work.
Active participation in the masterclasses is limited! There will be several 15 and 30-minutes slots for intermediate and advanced players.
