freak accident

Knocked him out cold?

Were you swinging your bass by the neck like a baseball bat?

I've hit things with my bass neck/headstock before but never enough force to damage anything

I don't know. I suppose it just hit him just right or something. He just got laid out for about 3 to 5 minutes. It hit him on his temple I think. He's fine now.

The singer in the last 2 bands I was in (same singer) likes to move around a lot and I tend to dance but stay pretty much by my rig and pedalboard. He's been smacked with my headstock often, usually in the elbow or back, but one time I caught him right until the chin, snapped his jaw shut real quick. He complained of a headache the rest of the night. At least he started paying attention better on stage after that happened.

LOL this happened to me once. It was literally right before I played my first rock gig. Me and my guitarist were getting our axes out, and he decked me in the face with his headstock as he got it out. Nothing like a smack in the face to get you pumped for your first gig! (I think...)

1) In high school our guitarist kneeled down next to my crash cymbal to picksomething up right before I hit it. He got a close shave for sure.

2) Friend of mine was set up on the edge of a drum riser and eventually his drum throne scooted back and he ended up on the floor mid song.

I was at rehearsal, and I was reading a peice of musice someone just pitched. I turned to discuss it, and my bass head nails my rythm gutarist in the face and knocked him out. Ever do something like this?

Did the exactsame thing once. But about 2 min before we went on stage.
Put a gash in his head and knocked him clean out.

That story is awesome. He was so confused when he came to he ended up running to each bandmate and doing the "hey look at the instrumentalist" thing for each chorus. Classic Hank.

u guys ever hear henry rollins "get in the van" spoken word series? he tells a story where he knocks himself out with his own knee while doing a high kick on stage. it's at a huge festival....first note of first song....lol. Classic!
