I also remember him in a semi-humorous role in Salem's Lot, the miniseries from Stephen King.

Just two days before he passed, someone here on TalkBass had posted a thread about incorporating a wireless setup into their rig and was looking for guidance. The very first thing that popped into my mind regarding "things that could possibly go wrong" with wireless was the Air Force base scene from This Is Spinal Tap posted by @Michedelic, so I watched it twice, and thought: "Wow, that Fred Willard is amazing."
