To be honestly, I don't think there is one. And I read somewhere as to why that is so, but all I could remember is that it's kind of inconvenient if you reformat your computer.

Media Player Classic is my choice. Incredibly light program that also doubles as a RealPlayer (for all those crazies that acually use Real these days). VLC second, BSplayer third.

It has my preference as my main DVD player.
I don't think that's what I was trying to say. I read it on Microsoft's website because I wanted a DVD decoder so I can watch DVDs with my Windows Media Player. Basically it said you would have to buy one because there isn't a really good stand alone one that's free.
