Sure doesn’t sound like a waste of money, though!
This post isn't "pickups and electronics" exactly, but it is "free to a good home", and honestly, it's not that easy. I've given away a bass, a guitar, and a couple amps (decently quality), and it wasn't easy to find a good home for them.
