I'm a French bass player, been in DC for more than two years but I'm moving back overseas.
I've been playing heavy bass mostly (35" inch p51 with a mudbucker as my main axe) but I fell in love recently with BassVI (with flatwound it's solo much fun, and sounds amazing with a pick)
I also think that nowadays, squier classic vibes and equivalent are the sweet spot between price and quality, and should cover 90% of a musician need!
