Fret buzz on specific fret

My Ibanez bass has a very odd fret buzz on it’s A string’s 8th fret. It’s the only fret on the entire instrument that has such a crazy buzz. I’ve gone through the list of checking if it’s level, adjusting the action, and giving a bit more relief to the truss rod but nothing helps it from catching on what I think is the 7th fret.

I’m trying to avoid having to go to a music store because I’ve been able to fix almost every problem on my basses apart from this.

If it buzzes only at the 8th fret, that means that either the 8th fret is slightly low at that spot (most likely from wear) or the 9th fret is slightly high (from lifting up).

You need to have the frets leveled. You can do it yourself or take it to a pro.
