Yup, this is exactly what happened to me a couple of weeks ago. "Above and beyond" is how I would describe the way Jason dealt with me to keep me happy!
Fret Nation is awesome. And not only for strings. I bought my last Spector bass from them.
And gee, you wonder why Fret Nation customers refute you.....
Jason is probably smart enough to realize he can't please everyone and carries on as best as he can to accommodate those he does please.
Have you considered having a heart-to-heart with Jason to discuss your situation? Granted, in his "prior life company" there were issues, and he seems to have sorted them out very well, indeed, from the perspective of most of those who have posted on this thread, including me. Just don't confuse issues of retail customer service with issues that are manufacturer issues, such as the recent discontinuation of medium scale La Bella flats, which Jason has no control over.
I have had multiple problems and the last one was the straw that broke the camels back. I told him exactly what happened, he made excuses. This had nothing to do with anything other than poor service from him. I have plenty of other places to get strings, I don't need to spend my time worrying about his business.
On two separate occasions, I asked Jason for something not commercially available, to replace broken or mis-installed strings. The company made the strings in question, but did not sell them as singles. He managed to get me both. He will also break a set of strings to sell you specifically what you want. I don't know how anyone can do customer service better than that.
I placed my order with Jason/Fret Nation via his website on 3/10/22.
Three sets of GHS Bass Boomers 6-string bass. Fret Nation’s price is lower on these sets than anywhere else.
I took the Free Shipping option, because I already have a set or two on hand.
I received my order 100%, today, 3/18/22.
Stellar service, -as usual from Fret Nation!

Fret Nation's prices are lower, and they don't charge tax.
Only my opinion, but I’d rather that Jason, nor Lara get involved in this. I’d rather that they stay involved here, and if mdog has found another place to buy his strings from, that provides him the prices and service that he deserves, I look at it as water under the bridge, IMHO
