Fret Nation

Hmmm... let me see... Can't think of any. ;):D
I actually have a story about Ernie Ball that just might be a little better. I bought a set of EB Cobalt Flats for a bass from Sweetwater. I stupidly cut the "D" string way too short where I was getting maybe 3/4 of a wind around the shaft. I called Sweetwater and told them my dilemma, offered to pay for a single string and they told me that EB does not do single strings. I figured, what the heck and emailed EB and told them the same thing. That I had cut the "D" string too short but would gladly pay for another. First email, they told me they don't sell single strings. I thanked them and was about to call Sweetwater to get another set when I got another email from EB. They told me, while we don't sell single strings, we will send you one free of charge (even though I told them several times it was my mistake and I would gladly pay). I got it a day and a half later. That is stellar customer service in my book.

So, your story is about Sweetwater and Ernie Ball, and not about Fret Nation, which is the focus of this thread?

You inferred great customer service and that you could think of none better. I thought of one better and relayed it to you. You have a problem with that? It's not like they have a lock on good customer service. Unwad your panties.

Ernie Ball does have single strings available to all resellers.

You would be surprised what companies (both resellers and manufacturers) are willing to do for customers when you reach out. You shouldn't have had to make that many calls to get the same result from other companies.

I appreciate your reply. Your company sounds like one of the good ones.
