Is there a transcript of this discussion available? My wife gave it to me (after the kitchen table discussion)
Real, vintage Tiffany? She uses it for her Tiffany lamps (to get rid of solder grease stains)

Is it possible to be more clear than “100% pure lemon oil”?You might want to clarify... 100% Lemon Oil, the essential oil, is not the same as most "Lemon Oil" on the furniture and instrument care market. The latter is lemon scented mineral oil.
Pics?
Are you grumpy today? Thanks, that needed to be said a fourth time.
Maybe I'll commission one from her, and tell her that hubby can wait a bit longer. She started five years ago (one afternoon per week)
So far she did 5 of them (one per year) and gave them all to friends.
I am on the waiting list to get one for my office but I expect that to happen in
emmm let me think maybe...![]()

Scrape away thicker grime with a plastic edge and rub the wood with guitarists' lemon oil.Does anyone have any recommendations for cleaning finger grime on an Ebony fretboard? Can you use denatured alcohol or goof off? Thanks all
Actually most are mineral oil with a lemon scent NOT linseed oil. Most "lemon oils" are linseed oil blended with a lemon scent.
I can also vouch for the Dunlop Fretboard 65 Ultimate Lemon Oil. It seems to do the job pretty well with no unintended consequences as far as I can tell. I also use it to clean my strings. Home remedies may be cheaper but this 65 stuff isn’t crazy expensive since a single bottle lasts forever.I recently purchased a used Dean bass that was really grimy all over, especially the fretboard. Last year for Christmas my brother bought me a Dunlop guitar care kit. After using the polish and cleaner on the body (followed by a light coat of carnauba wax) I cleaned the fretboard with Dunlop Fretboard 65 Ultimate Lemon Oil. Did a great job at cleaning it up.
I would not recommend the use of pure lemon oil on an instrument. If you do insist on using it, beware. This from the Safety data Sheet of Lemon Essential Oil 100% Pure:100% pure lemon oil, hard rubbed with a microfiber cloth.
Certainly doesn’t sound healthy lol. However the safety data sheet for most cleaning products probably wouldn’t eitherI would not recommend the use of pure lemon oil on an instrument. If you do insist on using it, beware. This from the Safety data Sheet of Lemon Essential Oil 100% Pure:
"Flammable liquid and vapour. May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. Causes skin irritation. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames and hot surfaces. Avoid breathing vapour. Wash hands and other contacted skin thoroughly after handling. IF ON SKIN (or hair), remove/take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower."
That Safety Data Sheet is from a wellness company that sells pure lemon oil as a health product. Doesn't sound healthy to me.
