Fretless 6

I currently play an old Ibanez SR506, and I like it, but I REALLY want to add a fretless to my collection! I don't want a tree trunk for a neck because I don't have gorilla hands, but I think I could adjust to whatever if necessary. I'm really trying to stay under 800 if that's possible.. :hiding: Does anyone know of such a beast? I am having trouble and I'm not really sure what brands can be trusted other than the main brands like Ibanez and Fender... :help:

And feel free to list fretless bass guitars over 800, I'm just not flowing in the cash right now is all. :D :bassist:

Man, three players before me stole my thunder and recommended Carvin. Haven't had it for years, but my Carvin sixer had a great neck. Very easy to navigate. I think I paid no more than $450 used.

I agree a used Carvin would be a great score. But also check out the Fretless Brice at Rondo (even if you have to change out the electronics it still is in your range). It is a VERY nice-looking bass.

I'm interested in getting a Fender-style fretless 6 and since a Steve Bailey or Low End is out of my price range, I've opted for defretting an SX 6 string. It's work (which is why I haven't defretted yet, though I do have the bass), but the price is right.

And then there is also a Wishbass! :hiding:
