Very, very sweet to play. Short scale neck, Aguilar OBP3 preamp kicks the sound any direction you want; and the piezo PU gives a huge bottom end blended in.

Fretless Bass! Which type is the best? [POLL]

Regarding the "best" of anything...I always admired a buddy's Porsche 911. Then one day he showed me how you had to "drive the Porsche in order to appreciate it". I never had a desire to own a Porsche afterward.
I voted P/J, because I love my LTD Vintage 214.
However, the fretless tone that really makes me smile Comes from Wendler, which is a passive mixing of Magnetic and Piezo sounds. Really captures an upright sound like nothing else near the same pricepoint (around $1200).
