Fretless in rock?

I am pretty sure , he never used a zon fretless (ever) or a mike lull fretless (ever) . His Fretless bass includes a Wal MK-II and initially a Washburn AB20 Fretless

He did. It was in the April 1994 issue of BP. It was my first issue I ever bought so I memorized that thing practically!

Zon, Modulus, Lull, he had them all.

I'm not saying it's wrong, but basing anything on what BP says is kinda silly. They are pretty well known for being wrong.

They did a whole article on Justin Chancellor a few years back on his entire signal chain. They listed more than one pedal on his board that was incorrect...

Sean Malone from Cynic plays a pretty mean fretless.

October 2010.... then five months later comes...

Sean Malone? HELLO? no mention of him?

I got no idea who Sean Malone is, but I saw it had been posted before you posted.

Since the zombie thread reappeared (much better than a whole new thread with all the same names listed yet again), here's another fretless rock player for your consideration. Kenny Passarelli. That's his fretless Precision on Joe Walsh's "Rocky Mountain Way" from 1973, when Passarelli was only 24 years old. It seems Walsh had gotten one of the first Fender fretless Precisions, and urged Kenny to use it.
