Fretless P bass question

Hi Justin

I’m considering buying a fretless P bass, without a Jazz pickup.

There seems to be a tendency to have a bridge Jazz pickup on a fretless bass but I tend to prefer the P bass sound, although I haven’t played much fretless.

I wondered if you record much fretless using only the P pickup and what your thoughts were on fretless p basses?

You won't be sorry. I mostly just use the P pickup. Love that sound.
