Fretless players

A few of my favorites who weren't exclusive fretless players but whose work inspired me not only to play bass, but fretless-

Here are the players and the specific songs that inspired me-

Guy Pratt- On Icehouse's Measure for Measure album. Standout song- Paradise

Whoever it was who played the fretless bass on The Kingdom from Icehouse's Man of Colours album.

Dan K. Brown - The Fixx's Walkabout album. Standout songs Read Between the Lines and Camphor.

I went to School With her, she didn't play electric.
Pre K doesn't count !!! :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Im just kidding. She sings and plays both Upright and Fretless so well, as if she has been playing since Kindergarten. Her talent level is pure genius .
Im not exactly sure which school you are speaking of, but clearly she plays fretless now. She has for quite some time.

Ive seen her 3 times in concert since 2008. Sat front row center each time. On every occasion she was on fretless 75% of the time.

I actually met Michael Manring. He was at a Markbass sponsored event at a music store. Very nice man. I saw Alain Caron twice with UZEB. Some of the best bass guitar playing I have ever seen (and heard too of course). Rick Danko was known to use a fretless Ampere bass on occasion, and wasn't Roz Burrell a fretless player with Bad Company?

I had not heard that Boz Burrell underwent a gender transition.
It must have occurred after he played with Rad Company.

:rolleyes:
