I have to second the Jaco recommendations. Teen town is a great one for GC chops, and barbary coast is just a lot of fun to play, and has a lot of great riffage to borrow from.

Walk on The Wild Side - Lou Reed (I think it was originally done on upright, but I saw TM Stevens do it on some TV show with an electric fretless)

Here are a couple of my favorite fretless songs. Everytime you go away, Paul Young. And, Give Blood, Peter Townsend. I believe they're both Pino on those.

Slowcar To China From the album " Dance ", by Gary Numan [ Mick Karn ] , in fact there is a hole lot of Fretless magic on that album . Also good is his next album " I asassin " which Pino Palladino does his thing , pre Paul Young too ! Those two albums should sort your Fretless chops ..

+1 to Mick Karn's playing on this album, but man...some of the songs are tough to get through as a whole.

Japan's albums (IMHO) are more listener-friendly and still show Karn's abilities.
