Double Bass Full Circle preamp advice

I have been using the fishman platinum bass pro eq preamp. i set it the way i like it and rarely need to change it very much. it has alot of features like DI out and it can be powered by phantom power from a sound board. I play in just about every setting you can think of and it has been great. the nice thing is you can get the sound you like and give it to the soundman so you don't have to rely on their idea of what you should sound like. the full cirlce and the preamp seem to jive very, very well. the depth knob is great-it gives you fullness in the low end but in a better way than if you just pulled up a certain frequency.

Hello;
I too have the Fishman Platinum Pro Eq Preamp. I do not have the full circle pick up. But, I do agree in my modest experience that the preamp is a very nice piece of equipment. It is versatile, well engineered (tough) and does a great job of shaping my Bassmax pickup's sound. I bought it from Bob Gollihur.

Thanks for the input. I just did a soundtrack for a low budget movie on the DB and it was a learning experience! I learned what I didn't like about that pickup system. I used a microphone after the engineer commented. I usually play electric. Some guys that I've seen have three separate systems going and they blend the results. I'm going to try the realist for awhile and check on the fishman. I appreciate the expertise and thoughtful opinions.
