Not bad at all, but there's not much to say that hasn't already been said. :) Thanks for the helpful samples! Although I will say the last clip on your page, the BMS+LBM clip, pretty much obliterates everything else from my mind. After that, I'm like "OCD, schmo-cd, bring on the acid-smoking orc warriors!"

Haha, I knew it! Tone rolled of with (almost) dead strings. And that's a passive jazz bass to add to that too! :D

That means this little box can indeed pump out some serious highs... if you plug a Spector Euro 5 with DC pickups and fresh stainless steels, like that one that's coming soon to me. I can't wait! :smug:

Those are very good samples, they show the flexibility of the tone knob pretty well! Many thanks for doing them!

But I have a feeling, with new strings, this box will really come to live! (hint, hint ;) )

Did you roll of the tone? Is your bass a bit treble-shy? Maybe it isn't fresh strings?

Because: FWIR, I expected the OCD to have an open high range. Due to a different circuit topology (not a TS clone), not to have a treble roll off. I didn't hear any big difference... (through old computer speakers, mind that)

It still a very good sound. Just didn't expect it to sound like many other top notch overdrive pedals that you can find around.

Please tell me if I am very wrong! I'd like to be! :)

Yeah, as the others have said, the OCD has plenty of highs. I usually run the tone around 10 o'clock with my passive jazzes.

Then it looks like I have to put the OCD on my (very long) to-consider-list! :) Since I am after a kind of trebly and biting overdrive sound. Which I realize - isn't a good thing in a band setting. That's where the tone control comes in handy! The sound you like is probably better than what I am aiming for. (in a band of course)

Yeah, give her a whirl. There is a good range with the tone control.

I have to tell you all, I got phenominal results last night using Ric-O-Sound on my 4003 for the first time. Ran the neck PU into the OCD (tone about noon) and the bridge PU through the PE Depth Charge. Keeping the neck dirty and the bridge clean was a great sound I would like to use most of the time. Kicking in the PE was just insane. If you run a two amp setup, ROS is the way to go!

No man, that was great! I really liked the pedal with the tone knob on the higher settings. Really cuts through.

I sold my Bassdrive. At the end of the day, it just wasn't what I wanted in a dirt box. Not defined enough and didn't cut through the way that I wanted.

I'm using a silicon fuzz pedal that I made and it can give me all the synthy goodness I want. I'm happier. With a little more bread in my pocket.

but i'll need to get a 4003 first. :D i'll bet that kills, though! sweet!
