Fun things to do with a weird string setup?

While waiting for a super-low earthworm-thick string to be delivered I temporarily have a bass with a roundwound low B and a flatwound low B on the bottom. Any ideas for cool stuff I should record with those while I have the chance? Not necessarily specific pieces of music, I'm thinking more in terms of techniques/textures.

Ambient double stops with drive/sustain? Accented picking between the flat and round? Sounds like experimental territory to say the least. What artist or inspiration prompted you to try this?

It wasn't really an artist or inspiration, it's a 5-string that's tough to find strings for (Washburn AB95) and an old set of already-shortened Spirocores that fit an electric upright I sold years ago. But that's a 4-string set, so while I wait for the matching low string to be delivered, it's basically still got the old low B on it.

So, silliness, yes. And ambient textures for sure. I was thinking of trying bouncing some metal object, like a butterknife handle, between the two strings, for example.
