Tough choice but I'm way more in tune with Motown music. That was one well oiled machine. There is no best though. Philly International should get a nod too. MFSB, Salsoul Orchestra and even Barry White's Love Unlimited Orchestra were all amazing for their time.

Couldn't pick which was better. I'm just so glad they were both around. The Section as well as the Swamper's were lights out as well. I'm a dyed in the wool Philly Soul guy so, Mother Father Sister Brother holds a very significant part of my musical heart.

No argument with any of the studio session players mentioned here. Just want to add the American Sound Studio guys in Memphis, with the incomparable Tommy Cogbill.
