Nope, that was the testbed aircraft for the JAS 35 Draken (Dragon) wing planform. Saab (now Saab Aerospace) has traditionally been out front with advanced fighter concepts, often ahead of the rest of Europe. JAS 35 went into production in 1955!
Ya gotta love Saab aircraft with Volvo engines.

Kellett-Hughes XH-17 "Flying Crane" - circa 1952.

Edit: Note the rotor tip jet exhaust vents - Hughes was deeply into this concept at the time and built several prototypes with this type of propulsion/augmentation.
