Hey, guys I'm trying to find some of the Ox's best stuff, can you give me suggestions on what his best works are?

Entwistle had that magic touch that could turn any Who bassline into something unique every time he played.

My favorites are "Won't Get Fooled Again", "Behind Blue Eyes" and "Who Are You". They're simple to get the hang of but are open for a little bit of improv, especially "Won't Get Fooled Again".

"Baba O'Riley" is a classic but simple and repetitive. If you really want to challenge yourself, any of the songs from Quadrophenia are a blast to play but difficult to pick up on, especially with his live style where everything got really meticulous and detailed.

I always thought that "Happy Jack" was a fun little ditty to play, not super challenging, but fun all the same. I'm also a fan of "The Quiet One".

I agree w/ this- but I would add a few things: The Seeker and pretty much all of Tommy...

John was a different animal all together- especially later on when he had so much of his sound tied to outboard gear. To me, He wasnt so much a genius as someone who found his place in the songs through melodic expressionism... the perfect compliment to Keith Moon (who did the same thing albeit as rhythmic expression). His stuff is just fun to play- cant go wrong anywhere imo

Try Dreamin' From the Waist - live version. I also agree Eminence Front is cool, for exactly the opposite reason - he plays the spaces between the notes in a way one wouldn't expect him to do!

I think the first Ox line that really got me was that little fill in the chorus of "My Generation" right before they go back to singing "Talkin bout my generation" I remember thinking as a kid that sounded so cool.

No single favorite. That's like asking what's my favorite Beatles song - there isn't a single favorite.

A couple that haven't been mentioned yet are his covers/interpretations of classic blues lines like those in "Roadrunner" and "Young Man Blues", especially from the earlier live Who recordings at Leeds, Wembley, Isle of Wight, Isle of Lucy...no, wait, that last one was Spinal Tap, wasn't it?
